Pair charged in Lakeside Market robbery

The names of the two suspects involved in the alleged armed robbery of a Concord area convenience store, netting a 50-cent soft drink have been released.

According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Department incident report, Phillip D. Cline, 35, of Kingston entered Lakeside Market on Nov. 10 at approximately 1:30 p.m. and placed two soft drinks on the counter and demanded the clerk open the register.

When the clerk, an elderly woman, did not open the register the suspect pulled a handgun out and began pushing buttons on the register with it.

The suspect then “waived the gun about and said he could shoot the (clerk) and the (clerk) replied ‘well’ and picked up (one of the soft drinks) and to throw at the suspect,” the report says.

The suspect then grabbed the other soft drink and fled with no money in a blue older model vehicle.

Cline and 30-year-old Tracy Lee Feezell of Harriman were stopped by KCSD officers at the Concord Road and Kingston Pike intersection.

When Feezell was asked by officers if she had any weapons on her, she told them she would show the officers where Cline “dropped the gun.”

Officers recovered the soft drink taken from the convenience store.

Cline has been charged with aggravated robbery and is being held in jail on a $7,500 bond.

Feezell was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license. She was released after posting a $1,000 bond.
