Admirals looking to give Dodgen 500th career win Friday at Heritage

Donald Dodgen is looking to join the “500 Club” this week.

Dodgen, boys varsity head basketball coach at Farragut High School, may be looking for his 500th career win Friday.

His Admirals — entering the week a perfect 4-0 and coming off an emotional win against arch-rival Bearden Friday — needed a home win against William Blount Tuesday to set up a chance to win “No. 500” at Heritage Friday.

Having coached the boys program at McMinn County High School for 12 years, along with a stint at Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, Dodgen’s record in his eighth season at FHS was 150-75 entering the week.
