Farragut’s long-awaited and long-delayed football fieldhouse is now a fully formed shell. “I hope here in a couple of weeks we’ll have it all enclosed,” FHS head varsity football coach Eddie Courtney said Saturday, “having the windows, doors, and all the outside done. And then we’ll start on the inside.” Costing in excess of $100,000, the 120-by-30 foot split-block structure should be ready to move into sometime early next year. Located adjacent to Lynn E. Sexton Gymnasium overlooking the team’s practice field, the fieldhouse will feature a “large” locker room, coaches’ offices, a staff room, equipment room, training room and a film viewing area according to Courtney.
