Letter to the Editor
Reader backs Carson

Dear Editor:

I want to comment on the issue of overcrowding in the Farragut schools. Just drive down Concord (Road) and turn west on Northshore (Drive) the fields where you see horses or cows grazing could become prime development property in the next few years. Where are we going to put these kids?

It seems that the school board and county commissioners have been slow to realize the impact of residential growth.

We need someone on the school board who is committed to recognizing the needs of our district. Someone who can build consensus and convince Knox County officials that the overcrowding must be addressed now, not 10 years from now. Someone who will support our school superintendent instead of provoking petty squabbles as reported in the Knoxville News Sentinel. Farragut schools are great because of the high degree of parental involvement. Folks, its time to come to the aid of your schools again. Please vote for Karen Carson for school board.
