LetterToTheEditor — Victims’ Rights Week on the horizon

Dear Editor:

I have included the agenda of events for National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (that was sent to Mayor Eddy Ford and the members of the Farragut Board of Mayor and Aldermen).

I hope at least one member of the town of Farragut’s administration will take the time to participate in at least one event.

Farragut is a wonderful place to live, but we still have our share of domestic violence, drugs, and murder.

I have e-mailed (the mayor) and the (board) every time the Task Force has participated in, or sponsored events, not only during National Crime Victims Rights Week, but when we are involved with activities with the Knoxville Police Department, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, the Humane Society, the Coalition on Family Violence etc.

I hope (the mayor) will take the lead, and lead by example and show (his) support of this very important week this year.

Thank you,

Jeanne Dotts Brykalski

Resident of Farragut

East Tennessee Victims Rights Task Force and MVS
