LetterToTheEditor — TDS did not cut trees,TDS GM says
- Thu, Apr, 29, 2004
Dear Editor:
On behalf of TDS Telecom, I would like to respond to a telephone call to the presstalk section of the farragutpress in the April 15, 2004, issue.
The caller stated, “I was disappointed to see how the telephone company has hacked down a whole row of beautiful pine trees along the Jamestown Boulevard/Kingston Pike area. Really a shame.”
In order to set the record straight, TDS Telecom, (the phone company) had absolutely nothing to do with the subject trees being cut and/or trimmed. We constantly strive to operate in a manner that is friendly toward the environment and the removal of any tree is always considered to be a last-resort option.
Sincerely,
Jerry R. Parkerson
