ThroughTheLens — New library in best interest of taxpayers?
- Thu, May, 13, 2004
Knox County Mayor Mike Ragsdale has proposed that the taxpayers fund the building of a new library in downtown Knoxville. Do you think that building a downtown library is in the best interest of taxpayers? Do taxpayers need a large library downtown in addition to all the community branches strategically located about the county? Should the county look to build more schools and put a new library on the back burner? Would you use a new downtown library? Has too much time, energy and taxpayer money been spent on rebuilding downtown Knoxville?
