The nation’s largest sign and identity company, has named West Knoxville resident Karyn Holbrook director of human resources.

Holbrook joins ImagePoint from a 14-year career at Science Applications International Corporation in Oak Ridge where she was vice president of administration and senior regional human resources manager.

“Our employees and customers will benefit from the more than 25 years of human resources experience Karyn has gained at other leading companies,” said ImagePoint Chairman and CEO Jim Martin. “We look forward to having her as part of the team and helping us empower our people to succeed.”

Prior to joining SAIC, Holbrook was human resources manager at Donzi Marine in Sarasota, Fla., from 1986 to 1990. She was human resources director at Sea Ray Boats in Knoxville from 1982 to 1986.

From 1979 to 1982, she was human resources manager and staffing coordinator at Staffing Solutions, formerly Cobble Personnel, here in Knoxville.

“ImagePoint has very talented people and holds the leading national position in the sign and imaging business,” Holbrook said. “It will be challenging and rewarding to help ensure that ImagePoint attracts and retains the talented workforce it needs to be even more successful in the 21st century.”

Her professional affiliations include the Society for Human Resources Management, the Human Resources Roundtable, the National Association of Female Executives and the Tennessee Valley Human Resources Association.

Holbrook is on the steering committee of the Diversity Leadership Community Forum and is on the boards of Aid to Distressed Families of Anderson County and the Sexual Assault Crisis Center. She was the SAIC social responsibilities chairperson.

She received her bachelor’s degree in human resources development and training from the University of Tennessee. She is a senior professional in human resources certification and is certified by the American Management Association in employee relations law.
