The Tennessee Heat, a Knox County area 13-year-old competitive baseball team, recently finished runner up in the USYBA World Series held at Lakeshore Park in Bearden.
The Heat also played a tough competitive schedule of 52 games throughout the southeast in 2004. The schedule included an impressive 16-5 record against Knoxville area teams.
Among the team leaders are Farragut Middle School players Mac Thoreson, Chris Schwartz, and Curtis Powell.
Heat head coach Duane Hicks (not pictured) is a former Fulton High School standout and Carson Newman All-American.
