Covenant Health makes “Most Wired” list

Hospitals & Health Networks magazine has named Covenant Health, headquartered in West Knoxville, one of the nation’s 100 Most Wired and one of the 25 Most Wireless healthcare organizations in its annual Most Wired Survey and Benchmarking Study.
The health system is the only Knoxville health organization to receive Most Wired/Most Wireless recognition for 2004.
The Most Wired award recognizes organizations that scored highest on the survey in the use of information technology to connect patients and clinicians, improve patient safety and quality of care, and enhance customer service.
The Most Wireless award recognizes organizations which scored highest related to wireless applications and connectivity via mobile devices.
According to survey results, the nation’s Most Wired hospitals and health systems are making significant progress automating four core components of an electronic medical record current medical records, medical history, patient demographics and nurses’ notes.
The survey also measures hospitals on their use of internet technologies for quality, customer service.
