Reader opposes FUD expansion

Dear Editor,
I recently learned that FUD is pumping sewage from Loudon County to Farragut to be treated.
Surely they don’t expect us to believe expanding the Turkey Creek facility is the only/best solution. We are intelligent people and know that not only will it be outrageously stinky but also it will decrease our property value and could create environmental damage from sinkholes.
We do not want the treatment facility expanded. FUD needs to find a place in Loudon County to take care of the sewage from that county. And finally, we are outraged that FUD does not want the rate paying public to see the alternatives(assuming they have bothered to look at alternatives).
We deserve control of what happens in our neighborhood and we are only asking that they treat the sewage where it comes from.
