•King, McVey named managers of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage

Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, tial has named Teresa King and Terrie McVey as branch managers of its West Knoxville location at 121 Suburban Road. In their roles, King and McVery will share responsibilities for day-to-day operations of the mortgage store, including customer service, business development, marketing, promotions and sales training. King and McVey report to Cindy Greene, an area manager for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage based in Knoxville. King is a member of the Knoxville Women’s Council of Realtors and the Knoxville Mortgage Bankers Association. She received Wells Fargo Home Mortgage’s Customer Service Excellence award in 2002 and 2003. McVey is a member of the National Christian Business Network and the Knoxville Mortgage Bankers Association. In 2003, Wells Fargo honored her as a top home mortgae consultant with its Leaders Club award. In addition, she received a Customer Service Excellence award.



•Rushing promomted by First Tennessee

First Tennessee has promoted James R. “Rick” Rushing to the position of senior vice president and manager of its Commercial Banking Division. Rushing, who joined First Tennessee in 1988, most recently served as a vice president and relationship manager in Corporate Banking and in Commercial Banking. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from East Tennessee State University. Rushing is active in the Knoxville Civitan Club and the Association for Financial Professionals.



Adcock hired by First Tennessee

First Tennessee has hired Peggy A. Adcock as manager of its downtown Knoxville financial center, located in First Tennessee Plaza, 800 South Gay St. Adcock comes to First Tennessee from Union Planters Bank, where she worked as a branch sales manager and mortgage originator. In her seven years there, she managed the bank’s Walker Springs branch in addition to working with clients on mortgages, construction lending, consumer loans and investments. She is currently a student in the Business Administration program at South College.



ORNL hosts small business seminar

Small businesses interested in working with four Department of Energy national laboratories managed or

co-managed by the Battelle Memorial Institute of Columbus, Ohio, may

participate in a two-day conference Aug. 30-31 at DOE's Oak Ridge

National Laboratory. Representatives from ORNL, Brookhaven National Laboratory in Long Island, N.Y., the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Denver, Colo., Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, Wash., and Battelle Columbus will be available for a day-long series of executive briefings about small business contractors work available at each facility. Victorson promoted to Vice President

First Tennessee has promoted Thor E. Victorson to the position of business development officer in its Trust Division. He replaces Alan Lee, who recently retired after 25 years with First Tennessee. Victorson joined First Tennessee in 2002.
