Willow Creek tees off for charity
Scott McMurray Memorial Golf Marathon a tribute to former BHS coach

(Right) Members of former Bearden High School golf coach Scott McMurray’s immediate family enjoy one positive that came out of an otherwise tragic loss of life while enjoying the festivities at the Scott McMurray Memorial Golf Marathon fund-raiser at Willow Creek Golf Club Monday. Scott’s mother, Randy; father, Fred; sister, Courtney McMurray Reed, and family pet, Scooter, named in honor of Scott’s nickname, are pictured behind the Scott McMurray Memorial that was dedicated July 25 during the Willow Creek Invitational golf tournament. Not pictured is Scott’s sister, Megan McMurray. (Far Right) Teeing off on his 100th hole of play Monday on No. 10 is Dan Arnold of Farragut. “I worked with Scott (at Willow Creek) and played golf with him,” said Arnold, who ended up playing 190 holes and raising more than $4,500. “We all miss him. This is one way I can give back a little.”
