CBFO, Bearden grid youth teams rolling


Going into last weekend’s action in the Knox Metro Youth Football League, six CBF0 teams and four Bearden teams held records above the .500 mark.

Six of those 10 teams enjoyed either outright possession of first-place or were tied for first, and seven were unbeaten.

CBFO’s XFL Hoppers (4-0 record) and CBFO SuperMidgets (2-0) were perfect and in first place along with Bearden’s SuperMidgets (2-0), XFL Cutters (3-0), AFC Pee Wees No. 2 team (3-0) and AFC Junior Midgets (3-0).


The CBFO Junior Midgets were close behind Bearden with a 2-1 record, while the CBFO XFL Cutters sported a 2-0-1 record to keep the heat on first-place Bearden.

CBFO’s XFL Pee Wees (3-1) and AFC Cutters 2-1-1 stood in the thick of championship contention entering this week’s play, which begins each Saturday.
