•Ridenhour joins Parkwest staff

Kevin P. Ridenhour, M.D. has joined Parkwest’s active medical staff as a medical oncologist and hematologist with Tennessee Cancer Specialists. Ridenhour attended medical school at East Carolina University School of Medicine in Greenville, N.C. Prior to joining Parkwest, Ridenhour was a medical review officer with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and was an FDA representative to the National Cancer Institute’s Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program. He has also served as an associate physician in primary care and general hematology and oncology practices in Virginia and North Carolina. Parkwest Medical Center is a full-service general acute care facility providing state-of-the-art medical services to the residents of West Knox County as well as Anderson, Blount, Loudon, Monroe and Roane counties. Located on Park West Boulevard in West Knoxville, Parkwest offers award-winning care in cardiology, obstetrics, urology, joint replacement, emergency care services, and diagnostics, among others.



•Covenant Health expands staff

Jeffrey N. Elliott has been named vice president of development for the Covenant Health Office of Philanthropy. His primary responsibilities will include directing planned giving and major gift solicitation initiatives for each of the four Covenant foundations, as well as coordinating other fundraising efforts to acquire new donors and increase giving levels. Elliot comes to Covenant from UT Medical Center.



•Engineering Excellence Awards accepting entries

The American Council of Engineering Companies of Tennessee, a statewide organization of more than 100 engineering firms, is accepting entries from all Tennessee engineering firms for its annual Engineering Excellence Awards program. Entries must be received by Friday, Nov. 5. Entry forms must be completed by Friday, Dec. 31, and are available by calling Jane at 615-242-2486 or e-mail at jmaggard@tnec.org.
