Webb golf teams on to state
Webb School of Knoxville’s varsity boys and girls golf teams have qualified for the TSSAA Division II state tournament. The Spartan boys finished runner-up at the Division II East Region tournament, Tuesday, Sept. 21, at Willow Creek Golf Club in Knoxville with a score of 292, just seven strokes behind first-place Baylor. Webb sophomore Wes Roach was a medalist, leading the Spartan team with a 67. The Lady Spartans also took second place at the region tournament with a score of 154. Both teams will compete at the Division II state championship Oct. 7 and 8 at The Bear Trace in Crossville.
