Reader says towing wrong ...
- Thu, Oct, 14, 2004
Dear Editor:
Talk about community spirit, support of youth events and being a good citizen, I was appalled by the lack of all of these things with the towing of vehicles from the office buildings near the Farragut football stadium on Friday Night ( this was on Oct. 8, and may have occurred at other times, I don’t know). An orthodontist office having vehicles towed, while probably making money doing teeth on some of these same students and families, was the height of rudeness. There are many ways to have an area watched, cleaned up by volunteers, etc., if THAT is an issue. But to have vehicles towed, have that fact announced, then BLOCK access to the parking area so that those informed of the towing couldn’t remove their cars was adding insult to injury. I would boycott these businesses and urge others to do so ... Out of town visitors were appalled by the tackiness of these businesses...
Sincerely,
Greg Rose
