Emily Lenn, principal of A.L. Lotts Elementary School, and Mardee Miller, assistant principal, dance on the rooftop of the school, Friday, Oct. 15. Lenn is dressed as Princess Lennona, (a take-off of Princess Fiona) and Miller is dressed as Shrek. Lenn is carrying on the tradition of former principal Fred Nidiffer to spend the day on the roof if the children reach their goal selling Knox County coupon books. Lotts sold a record- breaking 11,500 coupon books, 3,000 more than their goal of 8,500 books. The theme for this year’s coupon book drive was “I’m a Believer” from the movie Shrek.
