FMS Success

The Farragut Middle School varsity and junior varsity volleyball teams made what turned out to be a successful trip to Johnson City for the East Tennessee State University Middle School tournament. After finishing second in the Knox County Middle School tournament in September, the varsity team led by coach Lori Klonaris and returning 8th-graders Macy Fain, Dessi Klonaris, Lauren Cecil and Keri Winstead finished first in pool play and third overall in the Gold Championship bracket. All-Tournament selection Katie Plum, Bryanna Reveiz and Emily Farmer were also big contributors. The FMS junior varsity team (above), led by coach Tina Fain, finished third in its pool and qualified to play in the Gold Championship bracket. Coach Fain credited Cayla Degan and Cara Gregg with "outstanding" play as the JV team placed sixth overall with assistance from Julia Mathes, Kemia Amin, Santana Ewers, Hannah Miller, Brittany Rooney and Riley Miller.
