• Race Training Program at Fort Sanders Health, Fitness
Fort Sanders Health and Fitness Center is conducting a 16-week Race Training Program designed to prepare runners for 5K and 10K runs, half-marathons, and full marathons. Using the industry’s best resources, Fort Sanders experts are presenting various aspects of race training, including sports nutrition, flexibility and stretching, and sport related injuries. The goal is to educate runners on how to run better and run safely. The first training session began Oct. 21. Members and non-members are eligible to participate. Costs vary. CBFO basketball try-outs and draft schedule is as follows at West Valley Middle School: Nov. 1, 6:30 p.m., 7-8-year-old girls; 7:30, age 8 boys; 8:30, age 11 boys. Nov. 2, 6:30, age 9 boys; 7:30, age 10 boys; 8:30, 11-12 girls. Nov. 4, 6:30, co-ed 6-year-olds and age 7 boys; 7:30, 9-10 girls; 8:30, 12 boys. Sr. Pro sign-ups at Pak-Mail until Nov. 8.
