Knox County opens first dog park

PetSafe Park is the first public dog park in Knox County and unique because it is a free, public park created and operated by a privately owned company, Radio Systems, as a gift to the community. The park is located at 10427 Electric Dr., which is off Dutchtown Road adjacent to the corporate headquarters and the PetSafe Village, an all inclusive pet spa. The one-acre park features a walking trail, dog agility equipment, a large pond with a fountain, a smaller pond and open space for dogs to enjoy.

The hours of operation for the PetSafe Park are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Knox County provided support for PetSafe Park by installing directional signs on major thoroughfares. Radio Systems is the industry leader and prime innovator in the development of safe, reliable and technologically superior pet management solutions. Its products include electronic containment systems, bark control systems, pet doors and remote training equipment.
