Emily Lenn, principal of A.L.Lotts Elementary School, plants a Scarlett Burning Bush along the boundaries of the school. The bushes were donated by Travis Parker, background. Parker, who is in his 80s, grew the bushes on his property. He has great-nephews who have attended Lotts and helps at the school whenever possible. Diane Jordan’s fifth-grade class helped to plant the bushes on Tuesday, Oct. 12.
