Halloween coloring contest winners

The winners of the annual farragutpress Halloween Coloring Contest gathered at the newspaper’s Farragut office to display their work and collect their prizes. The contest, which was sponsored by Ethan Allen Galleries at Turkey Creek and Arbor Terrace, an assisted living residence center, attracted more than 200 entries from as far away as Kingston. Local businesses — AFLAC, Bi-Lo in Farragut, Concord Produce, Mayfield Dairy, Papa Johns Pizza, Slice of Life Café/Bakery and Mickey Hankal State Farm Insurance Company — supplied prizes for the talented winners. The next opportunity for the area’s artistic youth is the annual farragutpress Easter Coloring Contest next spring. For more information, see future farragutpress pages. Winners on hand for awarding of prizes are: front row, left to right, Madison Rose, Third Place 7 to 8 year olds; Drake Lahr, Grand Prize 4 to 6 year olds; Autumn Boyden, First Place 4 to 6 year olds; Sara Myers, Third Place 4 to 6 year olds; Justin Statile, Second Place 4 to 6 year olds; back row, left to right, Yeonhyeok Yoo, Second Place 9 to 10 year olds; Rebecca Jameson, Grand Prize 7 to 8 year olds; Mathew Hammaker, Third Place 9 to 10 year olds; Jenna Moskal, First Place 9 to 10 year olds; Breanna McCarter, Second Place 7 to 8 year olds; Miyu Kato, First Place 7 to 8 year olds; not pictured, Julianna Valk, Grand Prize 9 to 10 year olds.
