Goodner named National Society Collegiate Scholar


Nathan M. Goodner has accepted membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and was honored recently in a ceremony at the University of Tennessee.

Goodner, a 2002 graduate of Farragut High School, is a junior at the University of Tennessee. He is a a member of the national deanís list.

Goodner is an active member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church where he has participated in numerous short-term mission trips both in and out of the country.

He is a member of the Navigators and currently holds a position as resident assistant.

Goodner is majoring in international business/marketing with a minor in Spanish. He will attend seminary after graduation. Goodner is the son of Mike and Theresa Goodner of Knoxville.

He is the grandson of Gene and Mary Goodner, Mary Lou Goss and the late James E. Goss of Chattanooga.

The National Society of Collegiate Scholars is a highly selective non-profit national honors organization.

The society was founded in 1994 at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. NSCS has active chapters in more than 145 college and university campuses across the United States. They recognize and celebrate high achievement among students.
