Farragut High School senior Chad Blankenship has a headlock on his opponent from West High School during a 160-pound class match at the KIL Wrestling Jamboree, Thursday, Nov. 18, at Central High School. Blankenship was among the Admiral and Bearden Bulldog grapplers who won their jamboree matches, which serve as a warm-up to the regular season. The regular season got underway for Bearden Wednesday afternoon (Nov. 24) in a tournament at Karns High School. FHS will open its season at the annual Pilot Invitational at Knoxville Catholic High School Dec 3-4. BHS will also participate.
