Webb's Bibee signs college letter

Standout Webb School outfielder Brian Bibee signed National Letter of Intent papers with the University of Tennessee earlier this month during a ceremony in the schoolís athletic center. Bibee played a big role in Spartan trips to the TSSAA Division II State Tournament in 2002 and 2003.

Last season, Bibee earned Webb's Gold Glove Award as the teamís top defensive player. Bibeeís signing with UT marked the continuation of a proud family legacy. Brian's father, Hal Bibee Sr. (seated beside Brian), was a catcher for the Vols from 1973 to 1975. Brian's brother and former Spartan, Hal Bibee Jr., (standing fourth from right) played for UT from 1998 to 2002. Also sitting alongside Brian is his mother, Sheron. Back row (left to right), are Webb Upper School Head Steve Balak; Webb baseball head coach Clark Wormsley; Brianís sister, Sarah; Hal Jr. and Webb School President Scott Hutchinson.
