Little Brazil soccer gathering big wins
- Thu, Dec, 23, 2004
With a healthy representation of Farragut and West Knoxville players, the Little Brazil under-11 competitive boys soccer team recently captured the state championship in its age division Nov. 21 in Nashville while achieving one of the highest national rankings for a Knoxville boys soccer team.
Little Brazil upset nationally-ranked Clarksville Kaos Premier 3-1 in the championship game. “The team is currently ranked number one in the state and soon to be in the top ten nationally as voted on by the gotsoccer.com national ration system,” said assistant coach Mike Holt.
With a 64-9 overall record, Little Brazil has captured tournament titles in four states.
