FHS freshmen hoopsters beat Bearden in 6-0 start


Highlighting the quick 6-0 start for the Farragut High School freshmen boys basketball team is a 59-52 win against archrival Bearden Wednesday, Dec. 8.

The Bulldogs nailed seven 3-point baskets while holding a three-point lead with less than two minutes to play in the game before the Admirals rallied.

An Esean Phillips three-point basket followed by a pair of successful jump shots from Riley Hunley turned things around.

Kyle Binderís 29 points led the way in a 99-48 rout of Karns Thursday, Dec. 2.

Jeff Jamesonís 18 points was tops in an 81-42 drubbing of Webb School Thursday, Dec. 9.

Jameson followed that up with a game-high 28 points in yet another whipping of Karns, this time 96-56 Monday, Dec. 13. Dylan Young scored 14. The Ads have also beaten Austin-East (59-47) and West (69-43).
