FMPC kicks off new year Jan. 6


It’s business as usual Thursday, Jan. 6, as the Farragut Municipal Planning Commission begins the new year with its first meeting in 2005.

On the agenda for the Commission is a:

• Public hearing on a preliminary plat submitted by Jordan, Jones & Goulding for the Farm at Willow Creek, Parcel 32, Tax Map 152, located on the north side of Evans Road approximately 200 feet west of Virtue Road, 67.45 acres, 89 lots, zoned R-1, and a variance request from the sag vertical curve at Sta 1+60 for Road “A” from 35 mph to 30 mph, a variance request for the crest vertical curve at Sta 12+00 for Road “A” from 35 mph to 30 mph, a variance from detention requirements to discharge to embayment area, and a variance request from 40 mph to 35 mph for the crest vertical curve on Evans Road.

• Public hearing on a request by Benchmark Associates, Inc., to rezone Parcel 59.06 and a portion of Parcel 59, Tax Map 152, approximately 12 acres, located on the north side of Turkey Creek Road across from Anchor Park and adjacent to the walking trail, from R-1 to R-4.

• Public hearing on a request by Benchmark Associates, Inc., to rezone a portion of Parcel 59, Tax Map 152, approximately 13 acres, located at the end of Finch and Bobolink Roads, Audubon Hills subdivision, from R-2 to R-4.

• Public hearing on a grading plan submitted by Turkey Creek Land Partners, LLC for Parcel 191.08, Tax Map 130, located on the south side of Parkside Drive next to Home Federal Bank, Zoned C-1, to fill the area with blast rock spoil.

In the Workshop, the Commission will hear:

• Discussion of a concept plan proposed by Lake Ventures, LLC for Sheffield subdivision, Parcel 52, Tax Map 152, located on the north side of Turkey Creek Road and bounded by Kingsgate, Turkey Creek Woods and Brixworth subdivisions, Zoned R-1 and OSR, 126.7 acres.

• Discussion of a request by Pinnacle Management Company to rezone Parcels 100 & 101, Tax Map 142, located on the south side of Grigsby Chapel Road between Wyndham Hall subdivision and St. Mary’s Medical Clinic, 9.62 acres, from R-1 and floodplain to R-4 and floodplain.

• Discussion of a resubdivision proposed by Pinnacle Management Company of Parcels 100 & 101, Tax Map 142, located on the south side of Grigsby Chapel Road between Wyndham Hall subdivision and St. Mary’s Medical Clinic, 9.62 acres, zoned R-1 and floodplain, to dissolve an interior property line.
