Shadrack set to open off Watt Road

Shadrack Watersports and RV’s is gearing up to open its third boat and recreational vehicle showroom in Tennessee.

“We should be open in mid-February,” office manager Liz Humphreys said about the new location at 13137 El Camino Lane, off the Watt Road exit. “Right now we are just waiting for the parking lot to be paved.”

Shadrack is a family-owned and operated business headquartered in Bristol. Humphreys said owners Keith Glover and son, Josh, purchased the land on El Camino Lane because it was a prime location in West Knox County with close proximity to the Interstate.

“People are able to see our store from the Interstate,” she said. “That is a great way to get the Shadrack name out there.”

Specializing in recreational pleasure boats — Shadrack carries Malibu, Stingray and Baja boats — as well as ski boats and runabouts. Shadrack’s showroom and service department comprise more than 5,000 square feet of space.

“We will also sell used boats and RVs in the showroom and have a service department with two bays for repairs,” Humphreys said.

Humphreys said Shadrack can make repairs on any boat or RV that has been purchased from one of the Shadrack stores, and they are able to repair any of the lines of merchandise they sell.

Shadrack carries travel trailers and fifth-wheel style recreational vehicles. Cherokee, Cedar Creek, Newmar and Wildwood are a few of the brand names offered.

Shadrack participates in several boat and RV shows throughout the state and will be hosting a show at the Shadrack Watersports and RV Campground in Bristol, April 22 - 25.

Mark Rivard, general manager of the new Shadrack location, said, “We are real anxious to get this store open. It’s been a long time coming.”

Shadrack has winter hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The store’s summer hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Shadrack is closed Sundays. For more information, or to get an exact opening date, call 693-9949.
