Joining forces for security

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Knoxville Police Department in collaboration with Fleenor Security Systems have joined nearly 200 other law enforcement agencies nationwide to obtain CitizenObserver; an Internet based crime prevention tool.
The demonstration was conducted Wednesday, Jan. 19, at the Fleenor Security Systems office located at 10446 Cogdill Road. The Website has the capability to send out instantaneous alerts to businesses and citizens that have signed up to receive them. They are able to obtain the alerts by fax, e-mail, cell phone or pager. Citizens and businesses interested in registering to receive crime alerts should go to CitizenObserver.com. This is a free service.
