Fish is crystal clear about window cleaning

Fish Window Cleaning would like the home and business owners of Knoxville to know that “they do windows.”

John and Judy Randazzo have owned the Fish franchise, located at 11020 Kingston Pike, for two years. Their son, Andrew, works at the business as well.

“We were the first Fish franchise in the state of Tennessee,” said John. “Now there are franchises in Nashville and Memphis.”

Opening in the late 1970s, the Fish company has more than 26 years of experience and 130 locations nationwide. Fish provides service to both commercial and residential clients. The company specializes in ground-level storefronts and one-, two- and three-story office buildings, churches, banks, restaurants, schools and homes.

“We do a lot of work from the ground and some minimal ladder work,” John said. “But we don’t do high-rise buildings.”

Included in its list of national clients are Target and Office Depot, and Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church and Ruby Tuesday are among its local clients.

“We have clients not only in Knoxville but in all of the surrounding counties,” John said. “Even as far as Gatlinburg.”

Noting that his clients enjoy the fact that Fish does not require them to sign a contract, he said, “If a client calls and wants to discontinue a service that’s fine. But we have an excellent reputation and that doesn’t happen often.”

Fish’s professionally-trained window cleaners wash both interior and exterior windows. The franchise members are licensed, insured and bonded.

The window cleaners use a water-fed pole to clean the windows and an “almost distilled type water,” which John said is key to the cleanliness of the window.

“Even if the water dries on the window there will be no streaks because there are no chemicals in the water,” he said.

John said that Fish has computerized year-round cleaning schedules allowing them to know which jobs will be worked from week to week.

In addition to windows, the staff at Fish also cleans gutters, chandeliers, ceiling fans, skylights, mirrors, screens and storm windows.

Fish Window Cleaners will visit a home or business to give potential customers free estimates or customers can request an estimate by visiting the Fish Web site at www.fishwindowcleaning.com.
