Kaye to speak at luncheon

Celebrating 52 years of excellence, the Oak Ridge Chapter, International Association of Administrative Professionals will feature WBIR’s Moira Kaye as the speaker for the annual Administrative Professionals Week’s luncheon.

The luncheon, which is being catered by Burchfield’s, will begin at noon Tuesday, April 26, at the Doubletree Hotel in Oak Ridge, located at 215 South Illinois Avenue.

Kaye, WBIR’s co-host of “Style,” is a native of Oak Ridge and graduated from Oak Ridge High School. In 1983 after completing her reign as Miss Tennessee, Kaye started her television career as the weekend weather anchor and news reporter.

Kaye was named co-news anchor for the Action 10 News in 1988. She retired in 1991 to fulfill her desire to be a stay-at-home mom. WBIR tempted her out of retirement for the second time to become the co-host of their highly rated show “Style.”

Tickets for the luncheon are $20 per person; corporate tables are available upon request. To purchase tickets, or to find out more about IAAP, contact Orpha Leitch, president, 865-694-6403 or 865-525-0025; or Carol Higgs, event chairperson, 865-457-6240, or 865-463-9760.
