Realtors host candidates


Candidates in Farragut’s upcoming municipal election began last Thursday morning campaigning in Bearden. Knoxville Area Association of Realtors invited those seeking a spot on the Farragut Board of Mayor and Aldermen to visit its headquarters on Weisgarber Road to meet and shake hands with area realty professionals. Farragut Mayor Eddy Ford gets animated talking with Mary Cook, a member of the KAAR board of directors. Also offering greetings at the door were (left) Ron Rochelle (alderman, Ward 2 candidate) and (right) Ron Honken (alderman, Ward 1 candidate). Also present were mayoral candidate Bill Johns and Mike Haynes, candidate for alderman, Ward 2. Early voting in the Farragut Municipal Election began Wednesday, March 16, and will continue through Thursday, March 31, at Farragut Town Hall and the Knox County Election Commission office in downtown Knoxville. Election Day is Tuesday, April 5, and voting is at Farragut High School. There will be no voting at Farragut Town Hall April 5. As of March 21, 448 of Farragut’s approximately 14,690 voters had cast votes.
