Holocaust history a big part of Wheeler’s duties at Pellissippi State

Tamela Wheeler, an adult education instructor at Pellissippi State Technical Community College, recently attended a four-day seminar at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.

Wheeler was one of about 20 adult educators and guests who are selected each year to participate in the workshop. Participants learn how to incorporate the lessons of the Holocaust into adult education programs. She began the instruction in Holocaust history in March.

Wheeler is to meet with museum representatives in Nashville in April to describe how her classes are proceeding. She will be working with representatives of the Tennessee Holocaust Commission in the future.
