Knox Catholic duo honored as student-athletes

Two Knoxville Catholic High School football players were recently named as scholar athletes.
The East Tennessee Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame selected Jeff Jolley, fullback/linebacker and Mike Pierce, defensive back, as two of its 22 high scholar-athletes.
Jolley and Pierce were honored Saturday, April 16, at the Foundry on the World’s Fair site in downtown Knoxville.
Both young men have a grade point average above 3.5.
