Fire on fire in Knox tourney

The Farragut Fire 9U (age 9-and-under) Travel baseball team won the inaugural Knox Sox Tournament in early April. Micah McCrary pitched a no-hitter against the Knox Gators and won 15-0. Kevin Gormley and Bryce Edwards combined for a no-hitter against the Knox Sox and won 16-0. In the winners’ bracket game, the Fire beat Thunder 13-12 to advance to the championship game only to face Thunder again. Fire once again prevailed, 11-2, finishing the tournament with a 6-1 record.
