FPS student Mankad wins state PTA award

Tanay Mankad, a second grade student at Farragut Primary School, won the Tennessee State PTA Award of Merit for his entry in the literature category of the reflections contest. He entered his book on the Army on the subject of a different kind of a hero. Tanay has also won first place in Knox County for this entry. Tanay, 8, is in Mrs. Josephson's second grade class. He is the son of Sujata and Mohit Mankad of Farragut.
