Fox Den’s Senior Club, Foree Cup championships heat up course for Knoxville Open

With the Knoxville Open just around the corner at Fox Den Country Club June 16-19, things are already heating up at the 36-year-old club.
The latest events, the Senior Club Championship and Tom Foree Cup Championship, were held Saturday and Sunday, May 14-15.
Jerry Moats successfully defended his title as Senior Club Champion by shooting rounds of 35 (rain shortened) and 76 for a 27 hole total of 111. Moats defeated Ron Kilgore (36-75/111) on the first playoff hole with a birdie.
The Tom Foree Cup Championship was captured by Dale Mutz with rounds of 38 and 79 (117). Mutz defeated Bill Fogarty (42-78/120) by three shots to become the 2005 Champion.
