Plans are in the works now for the annual Fourth of July Parade to be held, of course, Monday, July 4.
Last year about 100 groups signed up to participate in the parade, which attracted thousands of residents, both near and far.
This year looks to be more of the same.
We’re told that the Farragut High School band has already been in rehearsal for the event and that the parade ranks are rapidly filling.
The staff of farragutpress also will be there to cover the event and to pass out its signature “admiral” newspaper hats.
It’s a good event for the children and a good event for the town of Farragut. We hope to see you there.
