Farragut youngster makes wrestling

Ryan Parker is getting an early start in the world of wrestling. This 7-year-old from Farragut won a silver medal at the Cincinnati Nationals in Ohio June 5, then won a gold medal at the Battle of the Blue Grass in Lexington, Ky. June 11. Both competitions involved multi-state competitors. Though it’s Ryan's first year wrestling, he’s compiled an overall season of 18-4. Ryan is pictured with his coach, Farragut High School varsity wrestling head coach Joe Knox.
