• California Chicken Grill will open at 10901 Parkside Drive at Turkey Creek. The new restaurant will have a casual dining atmosphere. California Chicken Grill will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. The menu has skinless, boneless chicken breast, grilled barbeque wings, mashed sweet potatoes, black beans, salads, baked beans, wraps, sandwiches and rice. A children’s menu and desserts are available. California Chicken Grill also has high-speed, wireless internet as well.

• Fleenor Security Sytstems in Knoxville was recently presented a Shining Star Award at the Galaxy Dealer Conference in St. Petersburg, Fla. The award is given to dealers with outstanding sales growth and excellent customer service and Galaxy Control Systems. Fleenor is one of only two of the 300 Galaxy dealers to win the award this year.

• Rentenbach Engineering Company CEO T. Michael Rentenbach named Donald Freeman the new CEO and president of the company. Rentenbach’s father, T.J. Rentenbach, started the company in 1946 and Freeman will be the first non-Rentenbach to run the company. Rentenbach Engineer has worked on Knoxville structures including: West Town Mall, the Sunsphere, the TVA towers and Neyland Stadium.

• Teppan Yaki Grill & Bar will open in place of China Inn, 6450 Kingston Pike, which had been in Knoxville for 30 years. The new grill will feature Stonegrill dining, which uses stone heated to 700 degrees Fahrenheit to cook meats. This will be the only restaurant of its kind in Tennessee.

• Rosanne Clouse has joined Markman’s Diamonds and Fine Jewelry as a Sales Associate at its flagship store on Kingston Pike in Knoxville. Originally from Virginia, Clouse brings more than a decade in jewelry services.
