A new place to sleep at Turkey Creek

Marriott offers another hotel option to business travelers in the Turkey Creek area with the construction of Spring Hill Suites.

Located next to Homewood Suites by Hilton, McKibbon Hotel Group is building the new hotel and plans to open Spring Hill Suites in spring 2006.

McKibbon Hotel Group also built Homewood Suites, along with Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn by Marriott and Townplace Suites by Marriott.

Karl Oates, McKibbon Hotel Group director of operations, said “The area is growing so rapidly, there’s a need for a hotel in the market … that’s not a costly option.

“It makes sense to have a product that has the option to not be extended stay outside the Cedar Bluff area.”

Oates said Spring Hill Suites will be ideal for business travelers staying one or two nights.

“The amenities are not as extensive as Homewood Suites offers,” he said, which he said he considers Homewood Suites to be an ideal hotel for business travelers staying four or more nights.

Oates said this will be the first Spring Hill Suites in Tennessee. Blaine construction broke ground for the hotel May 2.
