Students were expected to spend a half-day at school. About 75 vehicles lined Old Colony Parkway in Village Green subdivision in order to walk their children onto FPS grounds. Observers noted that many vehicles were not stopping for pedestrians in crosswalks and some said the traffic was usually chaotic for the first few days, then would subside.
