Lady Ads soccer starts 2-1-1

Proud of his team’s defense after four games, Dennis Lindsay’s Farragut High School girls soccer team is 2-1-1 after one week.

“My starting lineup on defense has played very strong all year,” Lindsay said about Caroline Hemeter, Alyssa Dresen, Emily Harris and Serena Allen. “And team chemistry looks pretty good, they look to be working together pretty well.”

After a 2-1 victory at Greeneville to open the season Tuesday, Aug. 16, the Lady Ads played three games in the Girls Preparatory School Invitational in Chattanooga Friday and Saturday. Aug 19-20.

Against Baylor, late goals from Taryn Marashi and Dresen brought Farragut back from a 2-0 deficit for a 2-2 tie.

All-state standout Jessie Stephens scored both goals in a 2-0 win against Notre Dame. Chelsie Dolak had one assist.

Ooltewah handed the Lady Ads its first loss, 1-0, in its final GPS game.

Against Greeneville, Catelyn Dake and Katy Maurer scored, while Casey Ulrich assisted.
