Peerless makes the cut

Gary Kalogeros cuts the ribbon at Peerless Restaurant, 318 N. Peters Road, with his wife, Nia, to his left, and friends, family and staff. The restaurant opened with a preview dinner with donations benefiting the American Diabetes Association. Peerless Restaurant originally opened in 1938 in Johnson City. The Knoxville restaurant has pictures from the original building showing how it has changed over the years.
