Messing making impact as receiver at North Alabama

A 35-yard touchdown catch against Tusculum Sept. 3, has been the highlight of Jason Messing’s season as a wide receiver for North Alabama University, as the Division II powerhouse Lions hold a 3-0 record.
Messing, a former Farragut High School standout skill position player (Class of 2002), has four catches for 107 yards in three games. He transferred from the University of Tennessee last season as a walk-on.
