Lotts hosts local leaders

The A.L. Lotts Elementary PTA invites the public to attend an Open Forum, “Meet Your County Government,” from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 27.
Knox County Mayor Mike Ragsdale along with county commissioners from the 5th District and Knox County Board of Education representative Karen Carson will be on hand presenting ideas and answering questions about West Knox County.
PTA President Deborah Britt said, “This is a fantastic opportunity to come hear about the state of education in West Knox County and learn about plans for the future of our area.”
Scholastic Book Fair also will be visiting the school and will be open one hour prior and one hour after the event. The event will be held in the A.L. Lotts gymnasium.
A.L. Lotts Elementary is located at 9320 Westland Drive in Knoxville. The school has 1,045 students in grades K-5. Emily Lenn is the principal.
