• Danny Edsell, vice president of Covenant Properties, has been promoted to president of Fortress, the for-profit subsidiary of Covenant Health. In his new role he will be responsible for the operations of Fort Sanders West, located at the intersection of Kingston Pike and Pellissippi Parkway. The complex includes the Breast Center, the Fort Sanders West Diagnostic Center, Fort Sanders Health and Fitness Center, and Nanny’s day care center. He will also continue his responsibilities at Covenant Properties, which provides construction management and property management services for the health system.

• El Centinela was approved for a beer permit by the Farragut Beer Board at its meeting Thursday, Oct. 13, at Town Hall. The Mexican restaurant is scheduled to open in two to three weeks.

• ORNL Federal Credit Union will hold a company-wide celebration to thank the member-owners of its credit union for their business. The member appreciation day will be Friday, Oct. 21, at all branch locations. The public is invited to stop by to enjoy refreshments and register for door prizes. Children can enjoy balloons and a coloring contest.

• Hodge Engineering Co. has changed its name to Hodge Associates to better reflect the mission and services provided and to indicate participation of employees as stockholders.

• Aubrey’s Restaurant, 102 S. Campbell Station Road, provided A.L. Lotts Elementary teachers and staff with a Back to School Luncheon Aug. 10.
