Alumni swat

Logan Brummitt, Farragut High School Class of 1996 who was a two-time All-district and All-region first baseman/pitcher for the Admiral baseball team, was among about two dozen former Admirals who participated in the inaugural FHS Alumni Baseball festivities at John Heatherly Field Saturday afternoon, Oct. 15. A pitcher at Cleveland State Community College and later at the University of Tennessee, Brummitt played with former UT star and Houston Astros National League Division Series home run hero Chris Burke. “He’s a super guy,” Brummitt said of Burke, adding that “no one’s been able to get in touch with him” since Burke’s dramatic home run to knock the Atlanta Braves out of the NL playoffs.
